FAQs

What are the differences in duties between a caregiver versus a certified nurse?

Caregivers predominantly assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which includes washing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility and transferring. Caregivers support simple exercise routines, medication consumption and other day-to-day tasks for the care recipient to continue living a high quality of life

Nurses can complete the daily tasks that caregivers perform, along with additional medical duties after earning their license

Common duties and types of care performed by nurses (but NOT caregivers) include:
-- Wound care
-- Tube feedings
-- Injections IV and infusion therapy
-- Collaborating with patient’s physicians

Is a male live-in caregiver possible in Singapore?

A male live-in caregiver is permitted by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for exceptional cases where employers can explain their specific reasons

Currently the visa framework in Singapore only applies to female workers, however Ministry of Manpower has exceptionally granted FDW visas to male caregivers if there is a strong rationale. We are happy to help apply for an exception and provide you with a male caregiver, but you should expect a 5 to 6 weeks waiting time before we get approval from MOM

A $250 pre-approval fee applies

What are the nationalities of our Live-in Caregivers?

We recruit caregivers from Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines

What is the background and expertise of our foreign agency partners?

Our selected foreign agency partners across Indonesia, Philippines and Myanmar have a history of recruiting and training nurses and nurse assistants for both local and foreign job opportunities

These agency partners often recruit for institutions such as community hospitals and nursing homes across Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Singapore

How would we continue to guide our caregivers post placement?

A Personalised Care Plan will be provided to your caregiver. We will continue to guide and check in with our caregivers via a monitoring application to ensure that the routines are in accordance to the Care Plan
